Sri Arcot N.Veeraswamy and Srimathi.Kasturi in KMC.

Professional Qualification

       Undergraduate Education:

 

Dr. Kalanidhi Veerasamy started his UG professional Education – MBBS, at one of the premier Institutions in the country at Madras Medical College, Chennai and graduated successfully in 1992.

       Postgraduate Education:

 

He continued his PG in M.S. General Surgery, between 1995 to 1998 at Sri Ramachandra Medical  Collegewhich is ranked among the top health sciences universities in India.

 

He completed M.Ch. Plastic Surgery from Stanley Medical College in 2001 which is the most legendary   institute for hand and reconstructive surgeries.

He accomplished FRCS in Edinburgh for championing his highest standards of surgical practice at the  Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, England in the year 2003.

He is a dedicated Plastic Surgeon with strong track record of success in treating advanced and complicated surgeries and traumas. He is proactive and high- performing professional committed to the best possible outcome for each and every patient who comes under his care.

Training:

      Taiwan for micro vascular surgery in Chang Gung Memorial Hospital

      One among the few Plastic Surgeons performing micro vascular surgery

     Underwent Cosmetic Surgery training in Brazil under Dr. Ivo Pitanguy who is a world renowned cosmetics surgeon, who dedicated his life for helping people to live better life.

    Visited various Centers in USA, UK and Europe for the acquisition of finest experience in the paramount centers for Cosmetic Surgeries.

      Holds Fellowships and memberships in various scientific bodies such as Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons -Edinburgh, The Association of Surgeons of India etc, Association of Plastic Surgeon of India.

As a Philanthropist:

     Following the footsteps of his illustrious father, Sri. Arcot N.Veerasamy,involved himself in the activities of social welfare of the community and inspires thousands of youth through social media.

       Spearheaded many medical camps during Chennai floods’ 2015 and Cyclone Vardah in 2016. Thousands of affected people were being benefited by those meticulously planned medial camps.

As a Politician:    

Dr.Kalanidhi Veerasamy has been elected to the Lok Sabha, lower house of the Parliament of India from Chennai North, Tamil Nadu in the 2019 Indian general election.

Out of the 38 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu, Dr.Kalanidhi won the election gloriously with 5,90,986 votes among the 9,55,545 polled votes. More excitingly, he gained the third highest margin of 4, 61,518 votes in Tamilnadu. All the other 22 candidates who contested against him lost their deposits.

After this victory, he is continuing his social work to the general public of his constituency with great vigor and valuor.

Dr.Kalanidhi Veerasamy has assured that he would take remedial measures for the water problem in his North Chennai parliament constituency.

At first Dr.Kalanidhi Veerasamy M.P in the process of  fulfilling his assurance has arranged for supplying of  drinking water to the people residing in Kolathur during summer season by tanker lorries at his own expense. This good work was inaugurated by the Party leader on 9-6-2019. 

Dr. Kalanidhi Veerasamy, is taking all efforts to resolve the water problem in his constituency. He is working to clear the Kodungayur Dump yard with assistance of Union and State Governments and Corporation of Chennai.

 

During the Pandemic period, he was instrumental to collect medical equipments and materials to the tune of croces of rupees from various factories and establishments in North Chennai from their C.S.R Fund and distributed the same to various hospitals in Chennai and the public of the North Chennai parliamentary constituency. Once he personally engaged himself in the surgery team and conducted a surgery for a person affected by the Black Fungus, disease.

     Functioned as one of the members of the Special Team constituted by the Government of Tamilnadu to 

     help evacuate Tamil Students stranded in Ukraine during Russia and Ukraine Military Operation.
