He has won Gold Medal in Medicine and Gold Medal in Cardiology and has got first rank in both at state level and was first to graduate as DM(Cardiology) from Madras Medical college, Chennai.
He has been practicing Cardiology & teaching Cardiology for Undergraduates,
post graduate students of Medicine and Post Doctorate students of Cardiology-DM & DipNB. Card. and Examiner for over 52 years.
He has published and presented more than 100 scientific papers in National and Inter National Cardiology conferences and journals.
He authored many books like “Idhayam Kakka” and Humor & Health” in Tamil and Elsevier International (USA) published “Cardiac X-rays”, “Mind Your Heart” and
“Journey to a Hearty Health” in English.
He is a strong believer that “Heart Attack”, the number one killer disease globally, can be effectively prevented & cured by implementation of positive Lifestyle. To spread this awareness, he regularly appears on several Television channels and reaches out to the public through print media. He is a featured speaker at international medical meetings and regularly addresses mindset and lifestyle enhancements at public gatherings globally.
